About me

I am a Manchester-based game audio designer with over 10 years of audio and music production experience, currently working on Squadron 42 as a Sound Designer III at Cloud Imperium Games.

My interest in all things audio initially led me to music production as a teenager, playing with anything I could get my hands on (Music 2000 on PS1 and eventually, Reason). I carried this interest through to a Music Technology college course and then to Bath Spa University, to study Creative Music Technology.

During my time at university, I was involved in releasing music and playing shows. At the same time, I found myself fascinated by the sound design modules of my university course, and focused heavily on sound design for moving image and game audio implementation techniques.

My favourite games of all time include:

  • Metal Gear Solid (1998)

  • Alien: Isolation (2014)

  • Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005)

  • Half-Life (1998)

  • God of War (2018)

  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)

  • Final Fantasy VIII (1999)

  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006)

  • Age of Empires II (1999)

  • Pokémon Gold and Silver (1999)

  • Total War: Shogun 2 (2011)

I’m currently playing, and loving, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (2024).
